Pittsburgh beat Detroit Red Wings 2-1 to claim the NHL's Stanley Cup for the third time by earning a 4-3 series win.
Maxime Talbot scored twice before Jonathan Ericsson reduced the deficit and netminder Marc-Andre Fleury denied the Wings' Nicklas Lidstrom late on.
It means the Penguins gained revenge by taking the cup on enemy ice, just as Detroit did in Pittsburgh last season.
They become the first team to win the title a year after losing in the finals since Edmonton did so 25 years ago.
