Florida survey: Consumer confidence declining

state-consumer_confidence_genericA new survey released by the University of Florida shows the state’s consumer confidence fell three points compared to last month.

Researchers believe the state’s high unemployment rate may have something to do with it.

“Unemployment actually went up again in Florida. It actually declined last month by point 2 percent, and now its back up and in double digits,” says UF Survey Research Director, Chris McCarty.
