According to race officials, three men died of what is believed to be cardiac arrest during today’s 32nd Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon.
Two of the men, whose names, ages and hometowns were not being released, collapsed at the finish line. One man collapsed around the 12 mile mark at a fluid station, said Rich Harshbarger, vice president of consumer marketing for the Detroit Media Partnership.
It is unknown if the men were running the full or half-marathon.
