Palin’s ‘Going Rogue’ sells at least 469,000 copies

nation-palin_bookstoreNov. 25 (Bloomberg) — Sarah Palin, the unsuccessful 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate and former Alaska governor, sold at least 469,000 copies of her memoir in the first five days, according to Nielsen BookScan data.

“Going Rogue: An American Life,” which went on sale Nov. 17, is published by News Corp.’s HarperCollins Publishers Worldwide unit. New York-based Nielsen’s data don’t include sales from Wal-Mart Stores Inc. or BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc.

Among other political memoirs, President Bill Clinton’s “My Life” sold more than 606,000 copies in its first week in 2004, Nielsen BookScan data show. “Living History,” by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, sold at least 440,000 copies in the week of its 2003 debut.
