The annual pre-legislative session for the Citrus County Legislative Delegation meeting will be on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at the county courthouse in Inverness.

The meeting, in preparation for the 2010 session of the Florida Legislature, will be hosted by the county’s three legislators in the Citrus County Commission chamber room on the first floor of the courthouse.

State Rep. Ron Schultz will chair the meeting. Sen. Charles Dean and Sen. Mike Fasano are scheduled to be on hand with Schultz to meet with representatives from the Citrus County Commissioners, representatives from other constitutional offices, the cities of Crystal River and Inverness, and other government agencies. Private agencies, organizations and citizens will also address the delegation in relation to the upcoming session, which begins March 2.

Members of the public who have signed up and are scheduled to speak will begin at 9 a.m. Elected officials will begin to speak at 10:15.

At 11 a.m., a bill on new rules of governance for Citrus Memorial Health System is scheduled to be submitted by the Citrus County Hospital Board of Trustees.
