Katherine Hepburn to be honored with 2010 Stamp

Legendary Actress Katharine Hepburn will be immortalized on a new series of postage stamps issued on May 12, 2010, as part of the Postal Service’s Legends of Hollywood series.

Among the other new 2010 stamp honorees are Mother Teresa, singer Kate Smith, filmmaker Oscar Micheaux, the Winslow Homer painting “Boys in a Pasture,” poet Julia de Burgos, and film actors Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Tom Mix and William S. Hart on a stamp entitles Cowboys of the Silver Screen.

Other new images featured in the 2010 stamp program include the Hawaiian rain forest, the Negro baseball leagues and the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, Archie, Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes, Pulitzer Prize winner Bill Mauldin, and Adm. Arleigh Burke.
