Crosby beats Miller in OT to earn gold for Canada, end U.S. run

In a pulsating overtime, Canada beat Team USA 3-2 Sunday for a well-deserved gold medal in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. It was easily one of the most exciting hockey gold-medal games in Olympics history.

Even Americans cheering in partisan fashion for Team USA had to admire the relentless play of the Canadians, who had lost to America 5-3 last week.

And what a perfect ending to the Olympics for the host Canadians, winning a gold medal in their national sport. Some spectators reportedly paid more than $4,000 for a ticket to Sunday’s game.
