Citrus County Animal Services will be offering half price adoptions during August for all dogs and cats.

The cost to adopt a dog will be $30. Cats will be $17.50.

The cost includes age-appropriate vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and a microchip. To qualify to be an adopter, residents must own their own home or have a letter granting permission  from their landlord. Also, any other pets in the household must be appropriately licensed.

To see adoptable pets online, go to www.citruscritters.com and then visit the shelter at 4030 S. Airport Road in Inverness (behind the Citrus County Fairgrounds on U.S. 41) to adopt an animal.

For more information, call Animal Services staff at (352) 746-8400.
