Deputies find man’s death in home ‘suspicious’

Citrus County deputies are investigating the death of an Inverness man during a well-being check on East Nugget Lane in Inverness.

Just before 9:30 p.m., deputies discovered a deceased white male inside the home, whose death appears to be suspicious.

Sheriff’s Office detectives are currently waiting for a judge to sign a search warrant so they can enter the home and begin their investigation.

The name of the man has not yet been released by the Sheriff’s Office.
