LECANTO – Central Florida Community College presented leadership awards to 30 area high school and college students on Nov. 19 for completing LEAPS – Leadership, Ethics and Public Service.
The leadership program is in its third year and was co-sponsored this year by the CFCC Institute for Community Advancement and the Citrus County School Board.

ABOVE: After successfully demonstrating infant/child rescue skills and passing a written test, 14 Safe Sitter students received certificates of completion at the end of the June 20 class at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center. These students join more than 150 other children in Citrus County who have already achieved status as a safe babysitter.
